General
During the program you will see words which are highlighted in blue. Clicking on these words takes you to the reference section for more information on the topic.
Printing
Most of the screens in the program can be printed. Since the content has been designed primarily for a computer screen, it is advisable to set your printer to print in portrait format, since this most closely resembles the layout of a computer screen.
Depending on your printer driver you should see a dialog box with something similar to the above graphic on. Note that the "Only the selected frame" option is checked. This is the correct option to print the content of the current page.
Main Menu
This screen enables you to select the case you want to work through, to resume at a previous stopping point, to view you scores and to exit the program. |
Case and Reference Toolbar
The Case and Reference material can be controlled using the set of buttons at the top of each page. These function as follows:prints the current page | |

Scoring
Scoring is very simple. Each correct answer scores one point. Each incorrect answer scores -1 point. For any question, it is not possible to score less than zero. When you have answered a question, your score for that question and the maximum possible score for that question, will be displayed.
Important Note: To enable users to compare their scores, it is only possible to attempt each question once. After the first attempt, the question will be disabled with the answer(s) shown. If you want to attempt a question again, you will need to login under another name.
Resume Option
When you exit a case using the menu button, you will be prompted to save your current position. If you choose to save your position, a (resume case....) option will appear against that case in the main menu. Clicking that option will take you back to the point you were at in that case.SI/Non SI Units
Either set of units can be displayed at various points in the program. Click (Show (Non-)SI Units...) to toggle the view.
